Elvis Tribute Artist Johnny Thompson has performed all over the world for Casino’s, Cruise Ships, and Concert Arenas and Theaters. Johnny has performed for the The Sultan of Malaysia wife and Queen, Hard Rock Cafes in the Philippines and Malaysia. The US Ambassador of Bolivia, and Sports Teams such as the Chicago White Sox, The San Antonio Spur’s, The New York Jet’s, and many more. He has performed in Music Festivals in China, The Philippines, Malaysia and Mexico. A true professional in every sense of the word, Your audiences will love Johnny! He has hosted more TV Shows and starred in many TV Shows for MTV Movie Awards and other shows, VH1, E! Entertainment, Music Videos, and ETA Documentaries. He is The Official Elvis of MTV and VH1 and was one of the first ETA’s ever Sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises for many TV Shows and Product Trade shows appearances all over America. Johnny has worked with many of Elvis closest friends over the year including the Jordanaires, Joe Esposito, Al Dvorin, Ed Bonja, George Klein, Estelle Brown, George Klein, Darlene Tompkins, Lamar Fike, Charles Stone and many others. In 2007 after Winning the Images of the King World Championship in Memphis, TN., Johnny went on tour with 2 other tribute artist in a 26 city tour of France, Belgium and Finland, playing at the largest Zenith Arena’s and Theaters in those countries. Johnny has starred in music videos with both Carrie Underwood and Katy Perry.

Johnny Thompson was born in Ft.Worth, Texas and raised in the South. His father was an avid Elvis fan and exposed Johnny to Elvis at an early age. Johnny grew up listening to Elvis and watching his movies. Having been from the South really adds a exciting and realistic authenticity to Johnny's recreation of Elvis on stage. He is first and foremost a fan of Elvis.

Johnny studied acting for many years in high school and went to College in Kilgore, Texas, where he also was a Rangerette Manager for one year then, moved to Chicago. He became a Theater Major at College of Dupage in Glen Ellyn, IL. After college, Johnny was discovered by a modeling agent and was put in TV commercials and in catalogues and worked steadily as a male model and actor for many years. He worked with Claudia Schiffer, Halle Berry, Alan Thicke and James Belushi just to name a few. Halle Berry asked Johnny to move to Hollywood with her, but he decided to persue his own path. Johnny has starred in the "Almost Elvis" and "The Men who would be King"documentaries and recently played Elvis in a TV series on Sci Fi Channel called " The Chronicle". Recently Johnny co-starred on "Get Golf" with John Ohurley ( J. Peterman on Seinfeld) on USA Network. In 2005 Johnny Hosted the 2005 MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet for TRL. He also appeared on "TRL,Viva La Bam, One Bad Trip, 24/7 and The Surreal Life". This Summer Johnny will appear on TV Land Myth and Legends: Elvis Presley and in the New 'Viva Las Vegas" Special Edition DVD being released by EPE.

Johnny has won many national and local Elvis competitions beating out many veteran Elvis performers. He has the whole package. Johnny is in high demand all over the world starring in shows for the NBA for the San Antonio Spurs, NFL game Halftime for The New York Jets, and Minor and Major League Baseball teams like the White Sox, Resorts and Casinos, as well as TV, tradeshows, corporate events and conventions. Over the past couple of years Johnny has performed in Japan, China, Bolivia, Cancun Mexico, Dominican Republic, The Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, France, Belgium and Finlandand Canada and all over the US.

Johnny won the Images of the King World Championship in Memphis Tennessee in 2007. And was a Finalist in the 2007 EPE Ultimate Elvis Contest, where he won the San Diego State Fair Qualifier Contest.
In 2009 Johnny Appeared in Music Videos with Carrie Underwood " Last name" and witj Katy Perry in "Waking Up in Vegas.
Johnny Spent 12 years in Asia touring from 2011 to 2023, he toured for 6 years with the World Famous Platters Show and performed on Cruises, Caisnos and Theaters in Singapore, The Phillipines, Hong Kong, China, and Thailand.
