Molly is an award-winning performer and brings her experience and passion to every show! Molly's Comedy Cabaret can be customized to suit your unique event needs. This means everything from a song rewrite to incorporating key staff in the show. Want a musically-themed game to involve the crowd? She can do that as well.
Molly's Comedy Cabaret features songs that span Motown, Broadway, Pop, Jazz and any other style that is important to you and your clients. In between songs, Molly shares comedic stories and songs are performed with Molly's unique and zany flair. You can expect fun props and silly surprises.
Molly Wilson is a dynamic actress, singer, entertainer and writer from Vancouver, Canada. She is an experienced stage and film actor and is as comfortable working a crowd as she is working in front of a camera. Recently returned from a very successful run at the Orlando Fringe Festival, Molly keeps busy performing her show, Molly's Comedy Cabaret, at XY Nightclub in Vancouver and at various corporate events.
An Ovation Award Winner for Outstanding Female Gypsy, Molly continues to pursue her passion of musical theatre. She performed in Awkward Stage's productions of TITUS: The Light and Delightful Musical Comedy of Titus Andronicus at the York Theatre and Pick of the Fringe winning show, Carry-On: A Musical at the 2016 Vancouver Fringe Festival. Some of her other performances in Vancouver include ‘Nancy Foyle’ in Sail Away, ‘Claire’ in Changing Minds and ‘Anabel’ in Bunked! The Musical. With a current UK Visa, she is available to work in both Canada and the United Kingdom and has experience working as a resident entertainer at Holme Lacy House in Hereford, England. Molly’s film roles include ‘Claudia Clemp’ in Camp Death III: The Final Summer, ‘Older Mary (voice-over) in The Mary Contest and ‘Cashier’ in I am a Cat as well as various other independent film projects.
Molly trained at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta where she earned her Diploma in Theatre Arts. While in Edmonton she played a variety of roles including ‘Sonya’ in Uncle Vanya, ‘Maria’ in Twelfth Night, ‘Mrs. Paroo’ in Music Man, ‘Winnifred’ in Once Upon A Mattress and ‘Madeline Bassett/Aunt Emmeline’ in The Mating Season. Molly was also in the Canadian Premiere of Party Worth Crashing in Edmonton re-joining the cast the following year for the Edmonton and Winnipeg Fringe Festivals. She has been writing and performing in her own cabarets since 2012.
Additional Booking Notes
Accompanied by either tracks or a live pianist, Molly can provide her own sound system (for groups up to 200) and keyboard. Set up is done in 30 minutes. A sound tech will also be provided if required.
