Mizz Constance

Constance has enjoyed singing to rapt audiences since the age of 3. She sang in church choirs, school talent shows, weddings, graduations ... you name it! Then, after a brief hiatus during which she started her family, nestled in with a home based band, The Malemen Showband. What started as a featured act has continued for nearly fourteen years now.

"No matter what goes on in life ...", Constance says, "I always find peace in music, writing and singing." And, Constance proves the point each time she takes the stage.

"She can move you to tears with a single note!" Beth Whitney said, after a night of jazz at McKinney's Supper Club.

Whether it be rock, blues, jazz, pop, or R&B, Constance has only gotten better with time. She continues to wow fans, and take pleasure in lending her own personal touch to their special event.

"I love it most when you end up feeling like a family member ... just one more part of a family celebration. You'd be surprised at the numbers of truly sweet people there are in the world! You go in expecting to be an employee, and you leave with tears in your eyes, because you truly connected with your clients."

"Musicians, singers, ... performers in general ... I feel that we are all supremely blessed. We are allowed to use a gift to brighten the lives we're allowed to touch. "

Only time will tell how far Constance will go with the music. She dreams of owning a truly old school supper club, where she can keep the place packed with fresh, new talent, as well as holding it all down with the bands and singers they grew up listening to.

When asked to characterize herself in one sentence, she replied, "I'm a work in progress."
