Outstanding Dinner Music for Fantasy Event.

I recently hosted an all-inclusive resort tabletop role-playing game event at agent lore Village, called "Green Dragon Fest." I hired Mitch to perform dinner music for the opening night and asked him to perform music from a few video games like legend of Zelda and the elder scrolls as well as some of the best hits from various fantasy action movies like Conan, the Barbarian and Lord of the rings.

Mitch was absolutely outstanding and set the mood for the dinner perfectly. I had so many of the guests coming up to me that evening saying how great it was to eat dinner while listening to the theme from gerudo valley and Ragnar the red.

The best part was that the dinner ran a little long, and I asked Mitch to stay a bit longer. When he did he was able to dip into some old school. Heavy metal like led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath and perform acoustic covers of them to finish out the night. He was happy to accommodate being asked to stay and totally understood the vibe of the event. I couldn't have been more happy with his performance. I'm already talking to him about booking for the event next year.

Hired as: Classical Guitarist

Thank you so much for those positive words Ryan! I had a blast working on the music and witnessing the event. Great job! I’m looking forward to next year!

What to expect

I am very flexible in my presentation. I can play acoustic ambient music for background sound at social events or be the center of attention showing off my decades of experience. I have done multiple weddings, private parties and even a Dungeons and Dragons Festival.

When I perform a "concert", the audience can expect me to play and sing music from The Eagles, Bad Company, Pink Floyd, Charlie Daniels, Jimi Hendrix, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and much more. I make their music my own and play some original compositions. To add to the entertainment factor of a one man performance, I use a percussion pedal and looper as well as some commentary on the music.

At most weddings I will play classical guitar and sometimes perform as a duet with a violinist. My classical guitar repertoire consists of Cannon in D, Bach Minuet and Bouree, The Bridal Chorus and Wedding March, Lagrima and many others.

About

I have been a music lover my entire life. I have been a serious musician for over three decades. I have a degree in music education.
Growing up in East Tennessee, I had 3 brothers. Music was always a part of our life. Although I'm the only one who learned to play instruments, we had vast collections of records and tapes and music was always playing somewhere. Our mother had "Hometown Radio" playing in the kitchen every morning at breakfast and every evening at supper. I especially remember the Southern Gospel on Sunday mornings. Our dad liked a variety of music. I inherited his record collection of The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Ronnie Milsap, Lionel Richie and even The Pointer Sisters.
Two of my brothers married musicians and now musicianship has spread through our family tree on into my children as well as nieces and nephews. Needless to say, family get-togethers are always sprinkled with some playing and singing.
For me, music is my life. I teach, I have a YouTube following and I perform regularly. I am beyond blessed to be able to engage with so many interesting people at so many interesting events. I would not trade my gift for anything.

Influences and inspiration

I am often asked who is my favorite band or guitarist. I can't narrow that down to one so I can do a top 3 across multiple genres;
Rock: David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Randy Rhoads of Ozzy Osbourne, and The Edge of U2
Country: The early music of The Eagles, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Keith Urban
Classical: Bach, Mozart and Beethoven
Solo Guitar: Tommy Emmanuel, Justin Johnson and Nathan Mills

There are so many more but it would be overwhelming to list them all.
