Overview

Very subtle, very sassy arrangements, great original compositions, well chosen repertoire, music dense by nature and so much understatement by performance. Humble and charming stage presence, radio trained like it's the late night drive home show. Old school R&B crooners, ... gone for some fun on the Bayou, dotted with swinging originals by suave singer Maren Molthan locking in some very groovy lines on the bass and recently laying it down on the trombone. Dating networks love this band!

About

Vocals, recorder, snare drum in a marching band, piano, guitar, harmonica, trumpet, bass, bass drum in a marching band, trombone. And that would be the order of instruments I studied - most credit needs to go to my partner and mentor for 9 years, Brian E. Downey, one of Chuck Berry's and Chet Baker's favorites on the drums, who taught me how to phrase and lock in the groove, create a pocket together with the drums. Our cooperation has produced a few live recorded cd's and a recent digital single release in 2017, and our band got invited to present our repertoire at the Coleman Hawkins Bluesfest in St. Joseph, MO in September 2018 - we'd love to play your show in and around Kansas City after the 10th of September, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Dallas in October/November? thanx so much for your interest!

Just remember: good drummer, good band.
This is the best drummer in the capital, possibly in all of Canada.
