My father was a collector. Knick knacks odd and unique. Shelves full of unlikely items significant, it most often seemed, to his whims alone. When I was in college, he procured an antique accordion from a Buffalo NY flea market. With its pearly keys and jewel insets, it played an eye-catching decoration in the corner of the dining room for many years. In 2011, I "borrowed" the instrument to help with a wonderful, contemporary theater piece in DC calling for gypsy punk music. After the production was finished, instead of asking that I return the accordion, my father gifted it to me on my birthday. A year later, I got word of a casting call for a US national tour seeking an accordionist who could sing and act. It was a grueling (though undeniably auspicious) month-long audition process, but I landed the role and spent my downtime on the road building my chops. I've leaned in farther each year since, and had all kinds of fun celebrating on the accordion with folk like you.

I've got a large bank of popular songs in my repertoire, both old and new; traditional and contemporary polkas from around the world; a growing list of Italian, French and Irish songs. I play original music too, often with my band Featherburn, but nearly as well as a solo act. I've got 25 years on guitar, a BA in Music/Voice, lots of storytelling experience, as well as a kick and snare drum set that I can employ as a one-man-band when the music needs to be raucous. I've been a professional, gigging musician for decades; I'm reliable and I come with pro gear.
