Michael comes prepared to perform in any situation. He has a professional sound system, music, and microphone. The Client is responsible for a stage (or stage area).

TECHNICAL RIDER: THIS IS IMPORTANT… PLEASE READ!
1. PROMOTION:
a) Client shall be responsible for all matters pertaining to the promotion of the Performance and Event. Performer agrees that Client may use Performer’s name, approved pictures, approved photographs, approved recordings, and other likenesses in connection with the promotion.
b) In all advertising, Performer shall be referred to as (any of the following):
1) Michael Gutenplan
2) Master Mentalist Michael Gutenplan
3) 3rd Generation Psychic Michael Gutenplan
c) Performer’s name and/or likeness may not be used for any commercial purpose, outside of Performance, or as an endorsement of any product, service, or other event, without prior written consent.
d) Client may use all photos, posters, and artwork, provided by Performer, for promotional use for this or in reference to this Performance only.
e) WE STRONGLY SUGGEST PROMOTING THIS AS A MIND READING, MENTALISM, OR PSYCHIC ENTERTAINMENT SHOW – NOT AS A MAGIC SHOW

2. VIDEOTAPING & PHOTOGRAPHY:
a) The Client is authorized to record parts of the Performance for personal and social media use.
b) Client may not copyright, copy, modify, alter, duplicate, broadcast on television or film, and/or distribute any or all such recordings without first receiving permission in writing.
c) If requested, Client will provide Performer with any and all photos, videos, and/or recordings made during the Performance.

3. PARKING: Client will provide complimentary parking for Performer at the Venue for up to 2 hours before and after the event.

4. DRESSING ROOM: Client shall provide a safe and secure dressing room, office, or closet to store equipment during Performance.

5. HOSPITALITY:
a) Client will provide Performer with 3 bottles of non-carbonated water prior to performance.
b) Client will provide Performer with a meal prior to or after Performance. If a meal (or food) is not available please inform Performer at least 24 hours prior to start of Performance.

6. SOUND: Client will provide:
a) A pair of external speakers with (at least) 2 inputs (XLR, 1/4”, RCA).
b) If speakers with input access are not available, Client must inform Performer 30 days prior to Performance.
c) Access to event space at least one hour prior to start of event to perform a sound check.

7. SET UP / STAGE:
a) Client must provide a stage area of at least 8’(w)x12’(L) (Feet) or larger for the sole use of Performer up to 60 minutes prior to Performance. Stage must be stable, level, and sections must fit firmly together.
b) We strongly suggest a raised platform – but, a dance floor or clearing in the front of the room is ok.
c) If the billing is shared, Performer must be able to set-up and keep equipment on stage at least 60 minutes prior to event start and up to 30 minutes after final performance.
d) Client is solely responsible for the setup and tear down of performance venue.
e) Please do not set up a dance floor in front of the stage area. Seating should be as close to the stage as possible.
f) Client will provide adequate lighting for the performance. House lights are (usually) sufficient.
g) Any light, sound, or other rentals are the responsibility of the Client.

8. IMPORTANT NOTES:
a) Michael will arrive around 1:30/2:00 the day of the event to set up.
b) Michael does not talk to the dead or do anything that would make anyone embarrassed or uncomfortable!
