I hired Michael for a surprise proposal.
There was quite a bit of logistics and planning, Michael was attentive, quick to reply, easy going with changes of plans and ideas, and spent a thorough amount of time communicating with me to make sure my plan went perfectly as described.
Michael played amazing, showed up way early to set up and be prepared, even came to the location the day before to ensure he was familiar with the area. I felt like hiring a musician off the internet who I did not know was a slight risk, but Michael made me confident in the choice and proved to be an excellent pick.

Michael Chen is a Vancouver-based professional guitarist with over a decade of experience performing live and recording sessions. Active since 2010, he has worked across a wide range of live settings including concerts, corporate functions, wedding receptions and ceremonies, casinos, restaurants, festivals, and private events.
He is a dependable and adaptable performer, comfortable providing background music, accompanying singers, or performing as part of a band. Michael is experienced working from charts and collaborating with event planners, ensuring smooth, stress-free performances tailored to each event.
Michael also brings studio experience collaborating with singer-songwriters on arrangements and composition, and applies the same level of musicality and professionalism to every live engagement.
