I have been playing instruments and singing since I was six years old, it has shaped and molded me in every way possible throughout my life and served as a key factor behind the sanity I am sometimes able to hold on to. I can play at any type of venue; weddings, private parties, corporate events, private events, festivals, venue shows, concert style shows, restaurants, etc.

Music has been the most important factor in my life for as long as I can remember. It was there for me through the breakups, it was there for me through my parents divorce, it was there for me through the moving around, and it was there for me when I was learning exactly who I was inside. Nothing in this world trumps my passion and desire for music and to simply get the words that I have to say out there for someone to hear. Growing up for me had it's ups and its down, much like anyone in the world, but it is what shaped me into the man I am today and molded my passions into the ferocity that they became. I have vowed since the day that I wrote my very first song after a very near-tragic attempt to whisk myself away from this beautiful world, When You're Gone, that I would use my music and the lyrics within it to reach out to those who do not have someone there to just simply understand them. That for every single night I spent looking at the ceiling wondering why no one ever noticed that anything was wrong with me, thinking that I was broken and not good enough or that I had done something horrendous to deserve the fate I was dealt, that I would find someone and show them just how amazing that they are simply by breathing through the passion that comes through my music.
I play a variety of instruments aside from being a lead vocalist with a high Tenor I range; piano, guitar, drums, and saxophone. I picked up my first instrument, the piano, at six years old when I used to wake up every night to the sound of my dad playing in the living-room which was coincidentally right on the other side of my room. I grew up listening to old bands, new bands, and everything in between. Some of my top inspirations in the music industry are artists such as Brendon Urie from Panic! At The Disco who as I was growing up disproved the opinion of those around me who told me that my high vocal range made me abnormal, that since I didn't have a deep voice like "guys are supposed to" I would never make it. Their music inspired me, and showed me that it is completely acceptable to be a guy who sings in a higher range. My second biggest inspiration would actually be the 80's Rock band, Foreigner. From listening to them on vinyl back when I was a teenager, I learned the beautiful art of song writing. I learned how to make a story come to life through immersing yourself into the lyrics and creating something that is relevant on both a physical literal plain as well as a metaphorical underlying message that holds the true meaning of the song. My last major influence from the music industry is actually a tie between my own father, Chris Isbell, and the late great Ray Charles. From listening to my dad play the piano every day I grew inspiration and drive to do what every boy eventually wants to do, be better than their dad at something, and that is when I went searching for music to play so that I too could run my fingers across the keys to create pure beauty. Listening to the blues piano that Ray Charles blessed the world with, from mimicking the notes and playing by ear, I was able to learn how to play myself and everything else was kick-started off of that for me.
At the end of the day, the most important take away of who I am is my drive. I have a very elaborately built value system that every decision I ever make in my life has to pass through, and it is all built on the foundation of those that are important to me and the dream to reach the world through my experience and the experience of those around me through the composition of song. Music has and will continue to be the most important key factor in my life, and all I want in this life is for the opportunity for others to listen and hopefully enjoy the passion and the pain that I have poured into it.
