Michael Ahern and The Rockmakers

We are a brotherhood of talented musician gentlemen who understand their roll and appreciate the opportunity to perform. We share a common understanding that our job is to elevate the human spirit through music. We have developed full sets of Americana, Rock, Jam Band, Country, Folk Rock, 60's Rock, Classic Rock and upbeat love songs for cocktail hour, pool parties, private events, winery events, resorts, clubs and festival stages. We have pro sound and lighting and only require access to shaded level dry ground and power.

Michael is a twice Emmy nominated musical performer primarily known as a lead singer, songwriter and guitarist in three genres: Americana, jam band and roots rock. Michael comes from a background of stage management and concert production and is currently the Entertainment Director for two Northern California music festivals and a summer music series in Sonoma.

While in his 20s, Michael worked for legendary music promoters Bill Graham and Chet Helms and for two decades made a go of it in the rough and tumble music industry as a songwriter. Michael and his various bands, Croutons, Little Wheels Band, Strawman, Lords of Tone and Fine Line opened for over 50 national touring acts that included Chris Isaak, String Cheese Incident, Jefferson Starship, White Buffalo, Railroad Earth, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Charlie Daniels, Bob Weir, Greg Kihn Band, Sara Evans, Papa Roach, Sublime, and Alan Holdsworth.

Michael has performed at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, Red Rocks near Denver, The Beacon Theatre in NYC, the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the Temple Bar in Dublin Ireland, the Jerry Garcia Amphitheatre in San Francisco and several West Coast music festivals including the Lord Buckley and Strawberry Music Festival. Michael was also recently hired to perform at an event hosted by California state governor Gavin Newsom.

Michael has now stepped back from national touring and is performing with two SF Bay Area-based ensembles scaling from duo to a 6-piece band. The Rockmakers (a rock and roll dance band), and the Harmony Brothers Duo (Americana). These two ensembles have upcoming performance dates in Northern California including the Union Street Festival in San Francisco and the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa in Sonoma, CA. Michael and the Rockmakers are the headliner once again at this June event with opener Michelle Lambert.
