Prodogy!

Wow, this is the kid I saw playing at Branson Landing one summer. What a riot!!! His music stopped me in my tracks.....and I had to just stand and listen. He was kind enough to even give me an autographed CD during his break!

I know Michael looks young, but he is not a "kid". He's a fine young man of 24 -- but people who don't know him believe him to be much younger!! At least when he's older, he'll still look younger that he really is! Thank you for your review. There are people he still meets that remember him from Branson Landing!

About

Michael Smith is a bit of a prodigy. Although he played around with the piano since he was 5, he never had a formal piano lesson until 17 years old. He has had a total of ten lessons -- seven from a teacher in Springfield -- who quit teaching and went back to school for his Masters; and three from a teacher in Branson. Both teachers taught advanced theory as he already possessed knowledge and ability before taking his first lesson! In 2008 Michael was awarded the Silver Heart Award for Teenage Performer of the Year, CGMA Central Division. He also played a season at Branson Landing in front of the fountain in 2008 on Sundays.
