About

Michael Paine (Bio)
“Michael Paine is like Jon Bon Jovi meets Stevie Ray Vaughn.” -Alex Kou, Salt Lake City Guitar Lessons.

Inspired by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eric Clapton and Tom Petty, Michael Paine brings his own twist to the Rock-Americana genre as he performs crowd-pleasing favorites along with similar-sounding original songs.

After schlepping through his dead-end day job, Michael Paine stuck it to the man and left his career in television news, to play the guitar and become a full-time musician. Enrolling soon after in music school, Michael made ends meet by teaching guitar lessons and picking up the occasional gig. He would eventually go to Nashville, to learn from and record with some of the town’s best musicians, including members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Kenny Rogers’ band. Michael went on to play lead guitar on tour for country stars Collin Raye, Jamie O’Neal, and YouTube sensation and world artist, Alex Boyé, performing all over the United States and abroad. Now, Michael is writing and recording his own contemporary, yet timeless, Blues, Rock and Pop/R&B music. He just released the first of his new songs, "Desert at Night," and will continue releasing new music in anticipation of his upcoming album. In addition, Michael Paine has degrees in Jazz Guitar Performance and Broadcast Journalism.
