Merry Heart Entertainment: Face Painting, Glitter Tattoos, Balloon Art

Merry Heart will request a retainer, to secure the event. This will apply to the overall bid.

You will be contacted to confirm the event initially, and if not a last minute gig, you will be contacted once again a day or two ahead.

The Merry Heart artist will arrive about an 15-45 Minutes ahead of time (traffic permitting) to get all set up, and ideally paint the birthday child before other guests arrive. At the very minimum they will be able to setup without a rush. :)

We do our best to photograph everyone that is painted or glitter tattooed and share these photos via Facebook.

I have always loved art of all kinds and initially was really more of a sketch artist than anything else! My father was an incredible landscape artist working with oils and later acrylic paint. He along with a family friend were a great encouragement to me as I practiced my art interests.
I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. I often care for a 2 year old grandson that keeps me VERY busy, so my response time may be a little slow, when I have little Liam around.

My face painting career began at my hometown church 30+ years ago and I worked solo until 2010 or so. Popularity has allowed my team to grow to 15+ talented artists! I always try to assign the best artist, based on location, theme and ages of the guests!

We service most of DFW including: Dallas County, Johnson County, Tarrant County (and Beyond). We paint as fast as we humanly can, but want to be clear that assembly line style work is not what we are all about. We like to welcome each child and chat a second or two about what they want, in addition to giving them an Awesome painting or tattoo to remember us by! Most Face Painters paint 10-12 paintings an hour. Nearly everyone on my team can do more, but the 10-12 is a safe number to base on at almost any event. The degree of quality, often depends on the age and behavior of each person being painted and the demands of the size of the group. Smaller children (especially under 4) usually take longer. Most children under three are not a big fan and we prefer not to paint a child where the parent is having to restrain them. We are mostly about the fun of the art experience, so rushing through it is not our primary focus. Please don't ask us to paint faster with less detail.

We have painted at a crowd of 60,000 and for parties of 4 - 5 children. We can accommodate most event types. If we can't, we're happy to refer.

In a nutshell, here's what we offer:

4) Digital/Phone/Disposable cameras to take photos of every painting whenever possible
5) Great Communication/Coordination prior to the event!
I do almost all via email, to avoid confusion and so that both of us have a written record. If you don't have ease of access to a computer, you might ask a friend to be a go-between.

We arrive 15 - 45 minutes to an hour ahead of the scheduled painting time. This means you pay only for painting and not setup! :) Ideally, we like to get the birthday child painted before the guests arrive! Face painters and Glitter Tattoo artists will need a little more time for setup than a balloonist.

The Merry Heart Face Painting team is all about making the event more fun for all the attendees! The art is important but not as important as working with the kids! We want the face painting/glitter tattoos to make your event fun and memorable! We recommend 1 artist for every 10 - 15 children, per hour. So, for an expected party of 20, 1.5 - two hours might be best. That's one painting every six minutes (and that includes getting in and out of the chair and any picture taking). We paint with kid-safe paints and products suitable for children aged 3 and up.

You can also, add glitter tattoos to your party! Glitter tattoos are stunning, shimmery designs applied directly to the skin using body adhesive. These tattoos look great for 3 - 5 days, are completely waterproof, and can be removed with alcohol. We have a great assortment. Great for summer days and pool parties!

When you are considering the time you need...please consider that many times we have teens and adults get in the line! :) So if you're on a tight budget, you might have to limit to a particular age group and notify your guests!

As for your event, you simply tell me all about your party plans and I'll make a recommendation as to the number of painters needed to make the most of your event. If you're with a charitable organization, ask me about special discounts and ideas to raise funds to cover the expense!

Difficulty with the expense? Consider giving up the usual goodie bags to a whole group...you will find that Face Painting is quite reasonable and will last so much longer than a piece of candy or tiny toy, especially if there is a photo of the work.

We also do our best to take digital (or disposable photos) of our work and post to Facebook so that you can print copies and/or share with your friends and family! If you have a big event planned, but a limited budget, I will customize a "cheat sheet" for the children to choose from, so that we get the most paintings for your dollars!

I have a large network of friends that are clowns, balloonists, party coordinators and more! I will be happy to help you find additional entertainers for your special occasion - at no extra charge - Just Ask! I'll even hook you up on other face painters, if I'm not available! I have a list that I maintain and will email to you. So, let's get the party started! Just contact me with all the details: Date, Time, Location/Venue, Theme, Number of Children invited (faces to be painted) and their ages. I look forward to hearing from you! Once you express an interest, I can email you an invoice to cover the required retainer fee, which applies to the balance of the quoted amount. It is not an add-on surprise! If you don't want to pay online, you can mail me a check or money order or even meet me in person at a time and place mutually convenient for both of us!
