At Smiley Strokes, we think about every detail from selecting the right services to creating custom menus and designs that complement your event’s theme, colors, and branding. We can also bundle services to bring décor, entertainment, and memories together, giving your event a cohesive experience from beginning to end. Whether it’s balloon décor that sets the scene, face painting, balloon twisting, glitter or airbrush tattoos that entertain your guests, or creative experiences that become part of their memories, we make each detail feel connected and unique to your celebration. We bring the creativity, organization, and professional setup so you can focus on enjoying your event while we take care of creating the smiles.

Smiley Strokes was founded by Marilyn López, an artist, educator, and creative entrepreneur who believes in the power of art to bring joy, connection, and lasting memories.
Before creating Smiley Strokes, Marilyn worked for eight years as a Special Education educator, where she developed a deep understanding of working with children of different abilities, personalities, and sensory needs. That experience continues to influence the welcoming and inclusive approach she brings to every event.
Marilyn is also a visual artist with a background in watercolor, acrylic painting, and linoleum printmaking. Her years of experience as an artist and art educator have given her a strong foundation in color, design, creativity, and visual storytelling.
Smiley Strokes brings these worlds together art, education, and entertainment to transform celebrations into creative experiences. From face painting and balloon twisting to glitter and airbrush tattoos, each service is approached with the eye of an artist and the heart of an educator.
Today, Smiley Strokes serves families, communities, festivals, and corporate events throughout the DFW area and beyond, with one simple purpose: to create smiles, spark imagination, and turn special moments into memories that last.

Smiley Strokes does not require any special lighting, staging, or sound for most services. For outdoor events, we require a covered or sheltered area to protect our artists, guests, and equipment from direct sun, excessive heat, rain, or other weather conditions. Airbrush tattoo services require access to a nearby electrical outlet for compressors and other necessary equipment. If a specific service or setup requires additional accommodations, these details will be discussed during the quoting process and arranged with the client in advance.
