Gus Raymond is a consultant and professional speaker with over seven years of experience in education and consultation work in the field of justice, equity, inclusion & belonging, focusing on immigrant/refugee and LGBTQ+ populations. A previous Fellow with the Minority Fellowship Program (NAADAC & NBCCF), Gus is a recognized community leader and public speaker with expertise in advocacy, LGBTQ+ rights issues, cultural awareness, mentorship, substance use awareness, and clinical and educational strategies for building inclusion and belonging for underserved and never served populations.

Gus's professional experience includes being a certified CADC (Iowa) and nationally certified counselor (NCC) in addition to working as a Director of Prevention and Intervention at Storm Lake Community Schools in Iowa, where he has been responsible for program development of restorative policies and culture, identifying and maintaining community partnership opportunities, mentoring staff in equity and restorative practices, providing essential (culturally appropriate) prevention and intervention services to all grade levels, crisis management and support services, and providing cultural awareness and equity training to district educators and staff during professional development instruction. Gus has a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Clinical Mental Health from Southern New Hampshire University. He currently offers coaching and consultation through his independent business, A. Raymond Consulting, LLC.
