Praised for her "charm" (San Francisco Chronicle) and "effortless performance" (Opera Tattler), Indian-American soprano Melissa Sondhi is an opera singer on the rise. She has performed numerous roles with various opera companies, including the San Francisco Opera Guild, Opera San Jose, Pocket Opera, Lamplighters Music Theatre, and Lyric Theatre of San Jose. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, as well as a Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She can sing a variety of opera, as well as musical theatre classics & standards, some jazz, and pop music.

I mostly perform from a wheelhouse of operatic arias, but I am also skilled in performing musical theatre classics, jazz standards, and pop standards/hits!

About

Melissa is an operatic soprano currently based out of San Francisco, California. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice from the University of Michigan in 2015, as well as a Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2017. Over the past few years, she has continuously performed with various local opera companies throughout the Bay Area, as well as several companies throughout the country.

Additional booking notes

It's not necessary for me to have a microphone (especially not for opera) - all that is required is a pianist or instrumentalist to accompany me.
