A Note from Melissa:

As your event speaker my goal is to serve you, your audience, and your event. It's not about me. I realize you have a lot to consider and I take that seriously. I've planned hundreds of events and I know what it is like to go through the process of looking for the right speaker. No matter how informative a website is, let's face it, we don't really know how it will all come together until the speaker shows up and starts speaking!

Here are a few things you can count on when I am your speaker:

A true desire to serve you. I will answer your calls and e-mails promptly and make myself available to you as needed. I will accommodate special requests to the best of my ability, and can tailor my message to suit the needs of your individual group.

A commitment to bring my best. I will work diligently, pray regularly, and communicate consistently to prepare to speak at your event.

A listing on my website and various Facebook postings announcing your event.

An availability to your attendees to talk, pray, and stay otherwise engaged. I have no desire to run off to a "green room" and request peeled M&M's between my talks. We are all in this together and I love spending time with those whom I am speaking to and with.

Melissa Maimone teaches women that an authentic life in Christ can be messy and magnificent at the exact same time. With her unique blend of theology, humor, and insight, Melissa provides down-to-earth lessons, practical applications, and life-changing perspectives to real women who are living real lives in the midst of real problems.

Using Scripture, art, story-telling, and lessons from her own battle with depression, Melissa demonstrates that the light of JOY can be found even in dark places. She is both a teacher and friend to her audiences; creating a dynamic atmosphere of learning, inspiration, and shared experiences. She encourages women that they can live a bold, messy, magnificent life of vulnerability and victory because they are known, accepted, and deeply loved by God--just as they are. Melissa has been a featured speaker at various Christian camps, women's events and retreats throughout the United States.

She is also part of the speaking team for Compassion International, an international organization dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name.

Before she transitioned into full-time speaking and writing, she worked in ministry at a large church in Santa Clarita, CA for 15 years. Melissa has appeared on TBN and KKLA Christian Radio, and has been published in Welcome Home magazine.

She and her husband Danny live outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. They have two children. She loves Jesus, her family, and her friends. Her hobbies include reading, walking, watching weird documentaries, and eating tacos.

I prefer a lavelier or "over the ear" mic so I am free to use my hands and to move around to better engage my audience. If video and/or slide features are provided at the venue, I will use them, but they are not necessary for my messages.
