When an audience comes to see MC JR3, they should expect to laugh, listen, celebrate, and feel like the room is in good hands. I bring high energy, warmth, humor, and strong stage presence, but I also bring structure. I know how to keep a program moving, make transitions feel natural, and help people stay connected to the moment.

If a client hires me, they are not just hiring somebody to hold a microphone. They are hiring someone who can read the room, manage the energy, and adjust to what the event needs. I can be polished and professional, funny and spontaneous, spiritually grounded, family-friendly, or full-out hype depending on the occasion.

My background is rooted in church, communications, journalism, public speaking, and life coaching, which means I know how to speak clearly, think quickly, connect with people, and keep the focus where it belongs. I have hosted church events, wedding receptions, baby showers, LGBTQ+ youth proms, community celebrations, Pride events, banquets, and private gatherings.

What clients can expect from me is simple: I show up prepared, present, and ready to help make the event work. I help smooth out awkward pauses, keep the audience engaged, support the event flow, and bring personality without making the event about me. My goal is always to help the celebration feel organized, joyful, personal, and unforgettable.

MC JR3 is a charismatic emcee, communicator, certified life coach, and public speaker with a gift for holding the mic and holding the room. Born in Connecticut and raised in South Carolina, JR3 first found his voice in church as a self-identified “son of a preacher man,” where he learned the power of presence, timing, storytelling, and connection.

A 2010 graduate of Queens University of Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, JR3 brings a unique blend of church-rooted energy, journalistic clarity, public speaking skill, and natural charisma to every event. In 2024, he became a certified life coach, further strengthening his ability to guide people, read the room, and create meaningful experiences.

From LGBTQ+ youth proms and Charlotte Pride to wedding receptions, baby showers, community celebrations, and more church events than he can count, MC JR3 brings versatility, warmth, humor, and high energy to every occasion. Whether the moment calls for reverence, laughter, professionalism, or pure celebration, MC JR3 knows how to keep the program moving and the room engaged.

For most events, I require a working microphone and sound system suitable for the size of the room or venue. Wireless microphone preferred. For larger events, outdoor events, or events with music/DJ support, client should provide or coordinate appropriate sound equipment. A clear event timeline or run-of-show is requested in advance. If staging or lighting is available, that is helpful but not required. I can adapt to most event spaces as long as guests can clearly hear me.
