I'm a professional drummer living in Portland, OR. I've played with many bands over the years, most notably, Francis and the Lights. These days I'm working actively and often in the fertile Portland jazz scene. I'm well versed in the styles of Rock, Jazz, R&B, Hip-Hop, Latin, Reggae and more. I'm very comfortable reading music. March 17, 2025Max was an absolute star at our carnival party! He was seamlessly jamming to the DJ's tunes and elevating the entire atmosphere. His performance was amazing and also perfectly complemented our samba dancers, adding an extra layer of energy and excitement to the event.

August 27, 2018Max played the cajon for me as part of a three piece band. He did a fantastic job. We had 2 very short rehearsals and then he nailed it at the live event. Highly recommend him and will hire him again myself.
