Dr. Matt Tolliver has a PhD is Counselor Education and Supervision, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and the owner/sole proprietor of Tolliver Counseling and Consulting Services, LLC.
He is a member of a professional improv comedy troupe and ventriloquist. He loves entertaining groups with his puppet friends Emily, Dr. Dastardly and resident monster, Harvey. During performances he also recruits an audience member to become a life-sized "dummy". Matt can tailor performances for audiences of any age group and rating. Performances typically range between 45-60 minutes- based on the age/attention span of the audience members

Performances typically run from 45-60 minutes. I have some scripted presentations (anti-bullying and conflict resolution for kids), but a good part of my performance is improvising with my puppets and members of the audience.
Currently, I have Emily, an energetic and rambunctious little girl, Dr. Dastardly, a not-so-evil genius, who likes to create "dastardly" plans, and Harvey, an animatronic monster puppet. I recently added a ventriloquist mask to transform a member of the audience into a life-size "dummy" (see pictures).
I am accustomed to working with elementary-aged children on a daily basis, but I have performed for audiences of all ages! I can also customize content based on the audience as well, from PG to NC-17.
I grew up outside of Buckhannon, West Virginia where I graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School and West Virginia Wesleyan College. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, master's degree in Counseling, and a PhD. Counselor Education and Supervision with a concentration in Leadership.
I am a former West Virginia Counselor of the Year, Strawberry King, and a lifetime 4-H All-star. On the weekends, I perform with West Virginia's premiere improv comedy troupe, the Fearless Fools.
I am passionate about teaching others to peacefully resolve conflicts and keeping young and talented people in the state of West Virginia. I am the owner of Tolliver Counseling and Consulting Services, LLC in Morgantown, WV.
