Matthew Casey is one of the NW’s premier Swing Era crooners/pianists. His dynamic voice and keyboard artistry have taken him across the country and into diverse live settings, studio work, and extensive radio and television performance. Closer to home, Matthew has played numerous venues such as Pittock Mansion, the Portland Golf Club, the Benson Hotel, served on the piano staff at Lloyd Center Nordstrom, and as a frequent featured entertainer at Portland International Airport (PDX). His rich musical expression and warm, entertaining style are much loved by all his listeners, and are a perfect fit for parties, concerts, and wherever top-notch crooning and jazz piano are in demand.
Matthew was the perfect entertainment for our Valentine's Banquet.
Mathew's piano playing and singing was the perfect addition to our cocktail party. Over the years, I've had piano players at numerous parties both in Los Angeles and Portland. Without taking anything away from the Portland talent, I have to say that the LA entertainers were generally a step ahead of the Portland talent...not surprising given LA's proximity to the "industry." Chris, however, is an exception for Portland. He is as good as any piano player/singer I hired in LA. Would definitely hire him again!
Response from Matthew Casey, Swing Era Pianist/Crooner:
Thanks so much for the warm feedback, Charlie! I'm so glad the music was a great fit for the event, and I look forward to being of service again when the time is right.
