November 10, 2024Talent and charisma
Jeffrey helped make my husband and my 20th anniversary perfect by playing all the old standards so we could dance the night away. It was a night I’ll never forget and Jeffrey complimented the vibe we were going for with his talent and charisma.

October 14, 2017Mom’s wake...
Jeffrey was just what I was hoping for in someone who could play Irish tunes and tunes from the 30’s and 40’s. He was so professional...Showed up on time and even played longer than the time allotted. He has a great personality and seems to really enjoy playing for everyone. We requested a special Irish song that he had never heard of the prelude, which we wanted in our presentation, and there was hardly a dry eye in the room...I cannot recommend him enough...Helen Miles

What to expect
The style and tone of the entertainment would be what the client wants and would be well discussed ahead of time. There are usually two to three songs to warm up the audience, and then a pleasant request to have them clap and sing along.
The selections would be chosen specifically and would be well known, upbeat songs where most everyone would know the words. Depending on the time frame, there may be an opportunity to have someone come up and sing. After establishing a comfort with the crowd, there may even be an opportunity for the audience to be asked to 'call out' songs they would like to hear. By keeping in the style and genre of what has been played, most likely the songs they want would be very familiar and not a problem in performing. I also have a laptop handy with hundreds of lyrics available as a back up.
You can also expect to have someone who is professionally dressed, pleasant on all aspects of hiring and performance, and an upbeat song list and dialogue that is never vulgar or off-color. The goal is to have everyone leaving feeling happy and talking about how much fun they had.
About
Jeffrey Bowen has a lifetime of performance experience, entertaining audiences since age 11. Originally from the Lafayette, IN area, he sang and played through high school and college throughout Indiana and Illinois, including the Decatur Park Singers for five summers.
While living in Nashville, TN for 17 years, Jeffrey honed his entertainment skills working with colleagues on stage and in theater settings. He scored an original Easter cantata "The Story Of The Cross" and co-produced shows. Playing the Ryman Auditorium, Grand Ole Opry House and Opryland Hotel were highlights of his time in Nashville.
His favorite genre is Pop and Rock, especially the music of Elton John, Billy Joel and Neil Diamond and many other classics from the 60s to modern day hits. Working years in party and piano bar settings has taught Jeffrey to develop the ability to play many requests. This allows him to tailor the entertainment for a client, creating a very upbeat and fun event.
Jeffrey been a full-time professional musician for over 30 years performing at thousands of personal and corporate events of all sizes and types. He has performed at the famous Don't Tell Mama Piano Bars in Las Vegas and New York City, The Times Square Bar in Las Vegas, The Red Head Piano Bar and Le Piano in Chicago and many others. Jeffrey is also the Music Director at the Lilly Theatre of the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
Jeffrey is customer focused, very reliable, professional appearing and most importantly want to make sure that you and your event guests have a great time.
His life experiences have been expressed in his CD "Frivolous", which was released Summer of 2015. Jeffrey currently works in Indianapolis as a performer, writer and arranger as well as Music/Vocal Director for various theaters.
