Matt Compito's Acoustic Almanac

We hired Matt Compito to play the guitar for our wedding and it was, without a doubt, the best decision we could’ve possibly made! Prior to the event, we sent Matt links to two acoustic pops songs we liked and asked if he could play one as people were settling into their seats before the ceremony, and then the other during the processional. Matt had said that it would be no problem, and then I honestly didn’t think about it again until the day of the wedding…[Side note - I had left the task of communicating with Matt to my husband, which is why I didn't think about it until the day of.]

Anyway, I was an absolute stress-mess on my wedding day, and when Matt arrived and asked where to set up, I realized I hadn’t prepared at all for his sound, seating, or literally anything for his performance! It’s all a blur now, but all I know is that Matt was an absolute SUPERSTAR!! He somehow figured it all out, and by the time I saw him again, I was walking down the aisle to beautiful music perfectly played by Matt. I also want to mention that prior to my wedding, I hadn’t appreciated just how important the ceremony music actually is – but that’s exactly why I feel so blessed to have had Matt! My unpreparedness could have resulted in absolute catastrophe - - but thanks to Matt being so adaptable, professional, patient, and talented, he made our ceremony a massive success!

Basically, I should have had the foresight to plan much better as far as the musical performance at my wedding ceremony, for example - where he should sit… but instead, I put my blind faith in Matt, and he far exceeded any expectations I could’ve ever had. I’m so thankful that we hired Matt – he rolled with the punches, and played the music so perfectly, I couldn’t even tell how challenging the songs I chose were to learn. (I was later told by a wedding guest that the music I chose was actually pretty tricky – I’m not a musician, so I had no idea! And when we had sent the songs to Matt in the beginning, he didn't flinch, so yeah, he's *that* talented.)

Long story short, while I can admit I was most likely the world’s most difficult client, Matt never made me feel that way - - he was professional, charming, and played expertly. What’s even better, is that he stuck around after the ceremony, and during the reception, people gathered as he played the guitar in the lounge!! What an amazing bonus! He was such a delight, and I can’t recommend him enough!!

I’ve hired Matt for several important occasions, including my graduation party and wedding. He brings with him energy and passion, and most importantly a kick ass library of songs. Whether you need a guitarist for a quaint event or an awesome vocalist with accompanied guitar, I highly recommend using Mr. Compito! You will not be disappointed.
