Because of our unique setup, Mary B and the Boys have the capability of playing quiet dinner music, suitable to talk over; as well turning up the volume to create a fun and exciting atmosphere for dancing and celebrating.
Mary Foil has been singing to audiences for over 25 years. Her professional singing career has crossed several genres of music including classical, sacred, jazz, Broadway, rock, and popular music. Mary has also worked as a published lyricist, stage director, and choral director. She currently co-owns and operates Mitchell's Piano Gallery in Winston-Salem, along with her husband, Mitchell.
Mitchell Foil began his musical career at the age of twelve when he worked as a musical demonstrator for Moxley Music Co. in Winston Salem. This opportunity led to his many piano/organ performances throughout the area during his teenage years. Mitchell has toured throughout the east coast with various bands for 20 years. Aside from a vast performance background, Mitchell has also gained great success in the business end of music as a piano retailer for over 30 years, and is currently the owner and president of Mitchell’s Piano Gallery in Winston Salem.
Kevin McLaughlin is no stranger to the musical stage. Having performed with some of the biggest beach band acts throughout the east coast since his teenage years, Kevin is a much sought after guitarist and singer. Known for his smooth vocal style, Kevin specializes in singing the great Motown and Beach Music hits.

We perform with a state-of-the-art sound system that makes our 3-piece band sound like a 9-piece band, without requiring the space needed for a large band. Mary B and the Boys also utilize a high-tech lighting system which provides the ambiance needed for whatever occasion, whether it be relaxed or revved -up.
All we need are electrical outlets within 20 feet, and we're ready to rock!
We Play Beach Music, Oldies and Standards
Our influences are drawn from each of our musical performance experiences. All of us have toured throughout the east coast playing Beach Music, 70's, Motown, Funk, and R&B. We play music that we love, and it shows. We genuinely have fun playing our music, whether we're the focal point or quiet background music. We know that volume is crucial to any event, and a loud band that guests have to shout over can ruin your occasion. That's why our unique setup works so well in any occasion. We can play music as softly as needed, or as rocking as needed. Having attended many occasions where bands are simply entertaining themselves and paying no attention to the event around them, we have learned to be very attentive to the hosts' needs as far as setup space, musical style, and volume control.
