Overview
A native Utahn with over 20 years of piano performance under his belt.
You can catch me at midtown Manhattan bars like Mimi's, Da Marino's, Don't Tell Mama's - and even a few suburban restaurants like Underhills Crossing, and Wicked Wolf II.
I love classic piano rock like Billy Joel and Elton John, but love playing jazzed up pop standards like Taylor Swift, Norah Jones, and Adele.
Since coming to New York I've played corporate events, private birthday parties, upscale cocktail hours, dinner services, and dueling piano bar events alike - and I can't wait to play yours!

April 1, 2022What a guy!
Had a cocktail event that called for live music. Thought it would be someone who’d just show up with some classics to play. Marshall made the effort to connect beforehand to specially curate an entire musical experience based off of the style of our event and the music tastes of our special guests. Favorite cover songs to smooth background music Marshall is the musician for you. Wow.

March 31, 2022Marshall is the BEST
As Miss Idaho 2014, I attended (and hosted!) a lot of events. After my sister asked Marshall to play at her wedding and reception, I booked him for a couple of cocktail hours, promo events, etc. At the time he was living in Utah and was also so amicable about the travel between Idaho and Utah! He’s literally built out playlists for every event to match the mood and has a Mary Poppins bag of songs ready for request. He’s the happiest, funniest, quirkiest person I’ve worked with (and he does magic, ask him to do a magic trick… it’s wild). He’s become a dear friend of mine - but even if he wasn’t - I would say book him. He’s only elevated every event he’s been a part of with me.

March 29, 2022What a charmer
Marshall is more than just a musician, he is a performer. I can honestly say he has such a presence that endears you. If I walk into a place and he is the pianist/performer I know I’m in for a treat. He can set the mood of a place perfectly and you can tell he’s comfortable in what he does.

What to expect
A lot of Elton John and Billy Joel (no Scenes From an Italian Cafe).
I'm expanding my Pop 40 Sapphic Punk library. I love Adele, T-Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Norah Jones - but revel in jazz standards by the Rat Pack, Fatz Waller, Count Basse, Frank, Dino, Sammy, and so many more. I'll always be a fan of Disney, and try to sneak in as many tunes as possible - all while keeping your event classy, jazzy, smooth, happy, and vibin!
About
A consummate performer my whole life - I've always been most fond of the medium of music. I've played to concert stadiums of 25,000+, and jammed through intimate evenings with just a few friends.
After training in Musical Theater, I went immediately into Arts Education - working with three universities in Utah before teaching full time at a private preparatory.
When COVID hit, I turned my love of storytelling into a work-from-home marketing salary — writing commercials to keep my creativity in tact.
I moved to New York in June of 2021 and instantly joined some old college friends playing the local bar scene. I've played corporate fundraisers, backyard birthday parties, late night loft get-together's, cocktail parties, and weddings alike. More than anything, I'm just happy to play.
I still work as a freelance copywriter - but I'm much more excited to bring some jazzy classics to whatever event your hosting.
Additional booking notes
I do have equipment for rent - however it's an additional fee for the equipment itself and the time it takes to travel with it, set up, strike, and maintain.
That said, I do travel with it a decent amount and can make arrangements where necessary.
