What to expect
Marley will offer an evening that will transport you back to the golden age of Hollywood and supper clubs with classic jazz tunes. She loves to surprise audiences with jazz twists on well known tunes from artists like Britney Spears or David Bowie, and the occasional musical theatre piece. Her sets are adaptable from swinging dance music, to soothing cocktail hour crooning.
About
Marley Armstrong is a Los Angeles native based in NYC. She grew up listening to Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, and all the musical theatre she could get her hands on. She's been described as "hipster Marilyn Monroe" and a "combination of Judy Garland and Amy Winehouse". She began her own jazz combo, "The Marley Armstrong Combo" with cast mates of the musical "Million Dollar Quartet" while on board the Norwegian Getaway. She was also a recent finalist of Amateur Night at the Apollo, the very competition where Ella Fitzgerald got her start.
