Overview

I offer live instrumental music for private and corporate events, both as a solo musician, and in the duo or trio format.
Through the use of loop station pedals and thanks to a special amplification system I developed over the years, you might think you hired a full band, although I'll be simply playing my guitar!
My setlist ranges from Jazz to Pop and many other genres. I'm happy to accommodate any song request, when possible. If you have a specific list of tunes you'd like me to perform and that you can provide with enough advance, I'm happy to work that out as well, although that usually impacts my rate for the night.

About

Marco Bolfelli is an Italian guitarist and composer. He took up the guitar at a young age, influenced mainly by rock music. In the following years he took private instructions with Tolo Marton and Berklee alumnus Federico Casagrande (among others).

He attended Siena Jazz 2012 workshops held by Lionel Loueke and Steve Cardenas, and was awarded for Outstanding Musicianship during Berklee Clinics at Umbria Jazz in 2013. In 2014 he earned a Bachelor in Jazz from the "G. Tartini" Conservatory in Trieste (IT), having studied with professors Klaus Gesing, Riccardo Chiarion, Giovanni Maier and Matteo Alfonso.

That same year, his first album “Streamflow” was released for the Italian label Birdland Sounds. Reviewed as “a hugely impressive and satisfying affair” by All About Jazz and “a very rewarding listening experience” by Jazz Times, the album consists of 11 original compositions and features ECM recording artist Klaus Gesing on reeds.

After completing his conservatory studies in Italy, in 2015 he moved to Boston to attend Berklee College Of Music on a scholarship, graduating Summa Cum Laude by the following year. There he had the chance to perform in different venues of the city, and to study with (among others) Ed Tomassi, Dave Santoro, Mick Goodrick, Tim Miller, Dave Tronzo and Hal Crook.

All I need is a few plugs to connect my amplifier(s) and pedals.
I am available to provide a small PA system for your event, although I won't need to use it for my act.
