In order to prepare the appropriate performance for your event, please give me as much information as possible about the event Including indoor/outdoor, dress code, type of event, etc. Please also let me know if you have requests or specific preferences on the kind of music you would like played (I.e modern jazz/fusion, funk/soul, jazz standards, upbeat, ballads, mix of it all). I also like to be at the venue/gig at least an hour before the event begins to be able to set up/warm up. I can provide an entire band (up to 7 piece jazz combo) or provide a smaller group (such as just a duo between voice and piano or voice and guitar, or a trio.) I would also be able to provide a PA system if needed. We would also want to do a quick sound check before the set begins. I can take requests, but please send them at least a week before the event takes place. And most of all, please know I’m looking very foreword to working with you and providing a fun atmosphere for your event!

Hi! My name is Marisol (MAHD-ee-SOUL) and I’m a jazz singer from tampa, and lead singer for jazz fusion band In the Pocket. My repertoire includes jazz classics/standards like All of Me, Misty, Lullaby of Birdland, Stella by Starlight, as well as more modern jazz/jazz fusion such as Herbie Hancock, Sade, later Miles Davis, and much more. My band and I have recently headlined Crowbar in ybor city, played at the 2022 Gasparilla Music Festival, and was 1st runner up for “Best Jazz Band” in CL Loafing’s “Best of the Bay” contest, after only performing around the Bay Area since 2020. My band I have also performed at other popular venues around the area, always drawing a crowd and setting the mood for a good time!

I don’t have specific lightening needs, and the only staging need I have is the space being large enough for the number of musicians requested. I can provide the microphone and PA system/speakers if needed. All of my instrumentalists can also provide their own amps.
