Highly Recommend! Teen Dream Come: Fun Candle Making

We booked Marilyn X Candle Making Experiences for my daughter’s 13th birthday in Corona, and it was such a fun and memorable experience for the girls. We had 18 teens (ages 12–16), and she handled the group with patience, organization, and professionalism.

She arrived early for setup, brought everything needed, and guided the girls step by step through the candle-making process. Even with a large group, the experience felt structured and well-managed. The girls loved choosing their fragrances and naming their candles, and each of them left with a beautifully packaged candle to take home.

It was a unique party idea that felt elevated but still age-appropriate. My daughter was happy, which is what mattered most to me. I would definitely recommend her for teen birthdays and special celebrations.

I arrive early for complete setup and transform your home, venue, boutique, office, or event space into a curated candle-making environment. Each guest receives their own organized workstation with premium supplies, fragrance options, tools, and guided instruction. The setup is clean, intentional, and visually cohesive — not a casual drop-in craft table.

The experience typically runs approximately two hours and follows a smooth, step-by-step format:
• Introduction to fragrance blending and scent selection
• Guided wick placement and jar preparation
• Measured fragrance blending (with the option to combine scents)
• Safe, supervised pouring process
• Labeling, personalization, and finishing details

Throughout the experience, I provide clear instruction while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. Guests are encouraged to be thoughtful about their scent choices, as fragrance is deeply connected to memory.

About

I began crafting candles in 2017, originally developing and selling handcrafted home fragrance and body products including herbal bath salts, goat milk soap, lip gloss, and two signature eau de parfums. What started as a product-based business evolved into something even more meaningful — curated, mobile candle-making experiences designed for connection and celebration.

In 2019, I launched my private mobile workshops, bringing a fully hosted, hands-on candle-making experience directly to homes, businesses, and event spaces. Each event is intentionally organized, thoughtfully guided, and designed to feel elevated rather than transactional.

Scent has a powerful connection to memory. During every workshop, I guide guests through fragrance selection and blending with intention — encouraging them to create combinations that reflect milestones, emotions, or the atmosphere they want to remember. The candle becomes more than décor; it becomes a memory marker.

For corporate, school, and brand experiences, I thoughtfully weave in elements of reflection and social-emotional awareness. The creative process becomes a tool for communication, team connection, and mindful engagement — making the experience well-suited for team-building events, creative business gatherings, and organizational workshops.

Before focusing fully on creative entrepreneurship, I served in local government until 2022. That background shaped the structured, professional approach I bring to every event. I currently teach Career Technical Education in Arts, Media, and Entertainment, guiding students in graphic design, multimedia, photography, videography, and podcasting. Creativity has always been central to my life and work.

Whether hosting a teen milestone birthday, bridal shower, anniversary celebration, corporate team-building event, or brand activation, my goal is simple: to create a smooth, meaningful, and beautifully executed candle-making experience that guests remember long after the wax has set.

Additional booking notes

To ensure a smooth and safe candle-making experience, the following are required:

• Access to standard electrical outlets (for wax warmers and equipment)
• Tables large enough to comfortably seat guests with workspace
• Chairs for each participant
• Indoor space or covered outdoor area protected from wind and extreme temperatures
• Adequate ventilation (normal indoor airflow is sufficient)

Host Responsibilities:

• Provide tables and seating
• Ensure the event space is cleared and ready prior to arrival
• Provide access to electricity within reasonable proximity to the setup area

I will provide:

• All candle-making supplies and materials
• Protective table coverings
• Fragrance oils, wax, jars, tools, and instruction
• Setup and full cleanup

For larger corporate or school events, additional space considerations may apply depending on group size.

My candle-making experience is a mobile, table-based workshop and does not require a traditional stage. For optimal flow and safety, I require:

• Tables with adequate surface space for each guest workstation

• Approximately 2–3 feet of space per participant for safe movement

• One central table or designated area for wax warmers and pouring equipment

• Access to standard electrical outlets near the setup area

• Indoor space or covered outdoor area protected from wind and extreme temperatures

• Clear walking space for guided instruction and supervised pouring

• Seating for each participant

For larger groups (15–20 guests), additional space may be required to ensure safe workflow and smooth event execution.
