September 9, 2023I am forced to give one star and write this review as I have had ZERO response from Marie since June despite multiple messages.
My fiancé and I had our engagement ceremony in May. She was reasonably priced ($750 for photos, $750 for video - discount came out to $1100 in total), initially very communicative, and pleasant to work with - I had a couple phone calls and video chats with her so she could familiarize herself with the venue and what we wanted out of both photos and videos of our ceremony. The day of our engagement she had a family emergency, so she was understandably late, but still took photos and our video. Being a one person business I imagine it is extremely difficult to manage both photos and videos especially for an event our size - however the communication we received afterwards has been very sporadic.
We were told our photos would take one week and video would be another 2 weeks. We finally received our photos after about 3 weeks (with reminders in between) and they turned out wonderful. However we have yet to receive our videos which is extremely disappointing since this was such an important event for us and our families.
I’m not sure if something happened or if there were personal reasons for her sudden disappearance but my fiancé and I have called all her phone numbers that are listed, emailed, and my fiancé even visited her business today. Phones go to voicemail which is full and her business appears to be empty, with just a sign on her door. The last communication we received from her is June and all of our follow up messages have gone unanswered.
We have been patient for several months giving her the benefit of the doubt, but given the lack of response, we are considering going to a small claims court to get our money back since we had already paid for the services - one of which we have not received.
We are extremely disappointed. At this time, I WOULD NOT recommend booking with her. If anyone who sees this review has any way of getting in touch with her, please give us any details.
