Overview
I am a classically trained mezzo-soprano with experience singing in churches, choirs, musical theatre productions, and solo. I currently attend the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Music for my (link hidden)s in Vocal Performance (Honours) on full-scholarship. I have an early background in Musical Theatre and at least seven years of classical training thorugh the RCM curriculum. Throughout the years, I have reached RCM level 10 in Voice and RCM level 6 in Piano. I can sing in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Latin and German with excellent diction. My sight-singing skills are fair. I am of Portuguese descent and have also recently begun singing Fado as well!

June 19, 2026Fantastic to work with
Marie was a fantastic addition to our Loyalist Day Remembrance Ceremony. Her musical talent is superb, and is marvelous to work with. She is punctual, diligent, and easy to communicate with. Her classical training proved a great asset to our event, and I highly recommend booking her.

June 19, 2023As a Fadista
I have personally performed with Marie-Raquel. Her attention to detail with respect to diction and embodiment of her pieces is amazing. Her clarity and musicality come through with every note. Her dedication to rehearsals, and cooperative nature make her an absolute pleasure to work with.
She is punctual when it comes to performances and demonstrates her work ethic through her extensive warmups. When she hits the stage, she is ready to go, and ready to impress. I have performed Fado with Marie and she fits the bill very well. I have also seen her perform classically and she demonstrates her competency and flexibility, straddling classical and fado. Catch this young artist while you can!
