Originally from Medellín, Colombia, Mariana stands as Philadelphia's premier belly dance artist. With a multi-award-winning career and over 30 years of dance training and performance experience, Mariana's lifelong passion for dance shines through her every movement.
Beginning her journey with classical ballet as a child, Mariana later expanded her expertise to encompass jazz, modern, hip-hop, Latin ballroom, flamenco, and ultimately, belly dance.
In 2010, Mariana discovered belly dance serendipitously during a workshop with Najia of Philadelphia. She immediately fell in love with the art form, and her dedication has only grown since.
Mariana's talent has been recognized through numerous accolades, including winning 1st place in the Rising Star Tribal/Fusion category at the Jewels of the Orient competition in June 2013, and receiving the "Best Takseem" certificate at the Golden Age Queen International Bellydance Competition Online Edition in August 2020.

My continued training with master Egyptian instructors such as Tommy King, Randa Kamel, Mohamed Shahin, Tito Seif, Faten Salama, and Essam Mounir, give my dancing an authentic Egyptian aesthetic (oriental as well as folkloric). This combined with my training in multiple dance forms, has created a stage ready performance of belly dance, sure to dazzle your guests.
