Mariachi Amor

We had a graduating party for our daughter who was celebrating her PhD accomplishment. Although Mariachi Amor played a good performance there are a couple of things that need to be mentioned so individuals who rely on reviews are made aware.
- I booked a few weeks out and never was contacted directly by the owner Alex. I had to initiate all communication to ensure we were on tract.
- Performance was scheduled for 7:30 pm. They arrived fifteen minutes late for the surprise event. They did however play for the scheduled hour. Not really very apologetic, kind of "oh well" attitude.
- They were coming from another event, so it appeared to me they were a little flat and gassed. I would highly reommend asking, "what number of event and I" so that you get them earlier and ready to perform.
- They seemed to wait for recommendation instead of coming in with a script of music, too much wait times between songs.
- Mariachi Amor is NOT the cheapest as ($1400, hour play), so you can see why my expectations were a little high as there are so many to choose from.

This was my experience and although I am sure they have had better days, I would probably not rehire this particular Mariachi band but instead give another band an opportunity. Reminder: MOST expensive is NOT always the best.

Great addition to corporate events!

Mariachi Amor was a fantastic addition to our corporate event. They arrived on time and were the picture of professionalism. Their performances were both vibrant and entertaining, blending classic mariachi tunes with some contemporary favorites that our guests loved. About

Alex Ramirez founded Mariachi Amor in 2014. Mr. Ramirez has over 30 years in the music industry. He co-produced "Noche de Mariachi" (which had an attendance of over 1000+ listeners from this free event at the Zilker Hillside) and "Mariachi Espectacular (which sold out the iconic Paramount Theatre)" in Austin, Texas. In addition to producing music shows, he wrote "Mariachi Theme" for the 2001 movie "The Journeyman."
