Overview

Mariachi Cielo Azul is composed of current and former students from the University of Texas at Austin and serves as Austin's largest mariachi ensemble. Consisting of a group of 10 to 14 members, we provide each event with a full traditional group that produces a full and bold sound to truly capture the beauty of the genre. With our young and talented musicians, our repertoire extends from classical ranchera songs from Pedro Infante, Jose Alredo Jimenez, Vicente Fernandez to more modern compositions from Mariachi Vargas and the occasional rock or country song! As Austin's premier mariachi, we look forward to being a part of your special event!

Love! Worth every penny

I threw a party for my husband and as a gift I surprised him with mariachis right as we were cutting the cake. When looking for a mariachi band I didn’t know what to look to look for I posted an ad on GigSalad. Mariachi Cielo Azul was the first band to send me a quote. I ended up booking with bc I liked the videos they posted to FB and bc they were young UT students. My husband is a die heart UT Longhorns fans so the very last song they played was The Eyes of Texas. When he got home he told me he almost cried 🤫 haha. Would definitely book them again. Everyone really enjoyed them!!!

The Best Concert Ever.

This was the ABSOLUTE best BEST! experience we have ever had. They showed up on time. Great communication. Friendly environment, great energy. BEAUTIFUL singers. A memory WE WILL NEVER forget! ALL the instruments were so so beautiful. Eight band members really brings so much liveliness and so much sound and passion to the event. Truly so beautiful. Thank you. I Would definitely recommend and hire again come the next event.

Wow! Amazing Mariachi Band!

I can't even tell you - Mariachi Cielo Azul made our holiday party truly special. Not only are they excellent musicians, they are excellent entertainers! Our party guests danced and sang along to an extensive catalog of mariachi songs! Their appearance was the highlight to our party. We will definiately ask to book them again.

They were just OK

It took several days to get a response from the group, and when contact was made it was mere days before the event, which left us feeling concerned and worried that they might not show. Despite sending a list of requested songs, which are all pretty traditional songs you’d expect from a Mariachi, the group either did not know the songs or the leader (eldest who appeared to be the leader) made comments to our guests saying “no one sings that anymore” or “no one knows that song”. We were disappointed to say the least, given what we paid. The entrance was a nice surprise for the bride and groom but the engagement from the group wasn’t what we’d hoped for- they were nice, with the exception of the comments regarding the songs, and otherwise respectful, but we were left feeling disappointed overall.

Beautifully done!

They sang beautifully, they all play their instruments perfectly and they are all in sync with each other! I am so happy I chose them and that they were available. I honestly received so many compliments from guests on their performance. I also was asked for their information from guests as they were so pleased with their experience! I Will definitely be reaching out again!! Thank you Mariachis cielo azul for making my daughter and guests feel special and opening the night for her quince you guys are amazing!!
