Ideas are great but that's all they'll ever be without action. Action happens when the audience feels motivated and inspired. I posses the qualities of a preacher and also a prophet. I can engage with any audience because I can relate to real problems in life. Whether they be in co-parenting, single- parenting, entrepreneurial, struggles with weight gain, or economic pains. I have the power to speak into existence and empower anyone to take action with my story and knowledge. My energy is contagious.

Raised by an immigrant single mother, Maria was one of 6 siblings living in a 2 bedroom apartment in the westside of Laredo, Tx.

"Early on in life, I endured pain, and adversity. I learned the struggles of life and faced many fears before the age of 20.
I was raised in a low income neighborhood, right across from a section-8, where you could hear gunshots and police sirens like clock work. Opportunities were slim. I hung out at the Boys & Girls Club throughout my elementary days. There I learned that poverty was a norm and food was always scarce at home.
By the age of 17 I became a single mother of twins. During the week I worked endless hours at a Mexican cuisine. And on weekends, I would juggle 3 jobs anywhere from waiting tables to cashier at a local sushi restaurant. Leaving barely enough time to sleep and be a parent, I managed to stay strong and focused. I was determined I'd make it out of the hood.
I was another immigrant just trying to live the American dream our parents wished for.

I was supposed to be another Latina living off welfare, but I did not let anything stop me from fulfilling my destiny. Mindset and self discipline were a big part of my journey to success.
I continued to work hard which led me to move to San Antonio in 2016, my now home.

I founded GCFN in 2019 with $50.00 in my bank account. Thinking I was going to help women, but in reality they helped me. I learned empathy, kindness, sisterhood and community from them. I always thought I was alone. Turns out I never was. I just hadn't found my tribe.
Today I am helping other women be confident and strong. Not only physically but also mentally. I take pride in what I do because I know it changes lives. Through speaking, I am reaching broader audiences because I know someone out there needs to hear my story to break that glass ceiling they've been waiting for.
I welcome anyone who has the same mission, to stand by me. Together we can transform one woman at a time.

As an event planner, you'd want to make your guests feel welcomed. I like to do the same with my audiences. I like having an accent chair or an arm chair to sit with my audience. Picture it like having a talk with a daughter or a friend. Makes me less intimidating and more of a leveled setting. Lighting is a must, and sound is necessary for I am not a loud speaker. A microphone is fine but if you have a wireless mic that is even better.
