My name is Marcus Shawn and my show is called "Marcus Shawn on FIRE". I came up with that name organically because I come from 4 generations of firefighters and fire prevention technicians. Today, I've retired from the fire equipment business that I founded with my son in 2016 in Broward county Florida, called FIRE GUARD...hence the name, "Marcus Shawn on FIRE". I also like to think that I bring a little bit of HEAT to the stage...but I'll let you decide that for yourself (wink-wink)!

I am a passionate singer. More accurately, I’m a crooner, I LOVE what I do…singing cover tunes like the original artists, making memories for an audience that wants to dance, sing along and remember what it’s like to be in love, dance and party with original hit songs. In case, you just asked yourself, "What's a Crooner!?" ...a Crooner is an old school term for a solo vocalist that sings about LOVE. Whether it's a heart pounder or heart breaker, my song themes are all about love, passion, excitement and getting you energized with tunes and beats!

If my audience has half as much fun as I do during my performance - then we ALL had a BLAST!. I've played hundreds of different venues, traveled to 49 of our 50 states and sang in every one. I'm originally from Little Italy in Cleveland, Ohio but lived in South Florida for over 50 years. So my background and references start with Italian tunes and include Rock, Pop and Crooner tributes from the 50’s to contemporary music.

I actually love performing and producing events so much I always start early and do several encores… it’s a running joke with my regular customers that I love working overtime but don't get paid for it!! I’ve also done several charity events for such causes as Broward County United Way, Networking partner businesses for charity and Jamaican Storm Restoration and more.

My favorite genres and tribute songs include Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Elvis, Italian and several Country stars. We can perform in theme costume or generic flash that lends itself to a variety of original artists’ tributes in one show.

Music has always been a part of my life and that's why I'm excited to make it a part of yours too. I also am so passionate about Italian weddings, Country, Elvis, Neil Diamond and Sinatra tributes to name a few.

I'm also the host and founder of my own music club called “Marcus’ Musical Hour”.

So I bring my own sound equipment. I typically play music and sing for the [event] and the cocktail hour, which we'll get into those when we meet later. I also can play/sing during a dinner party.

And then another fun aspect which we can chat about if you book a consultation with me, is I can actually offer your guests some karaoke. So during the dancing portion, I can be on the dance floor with your guests jamming on top of whatever is playing, which makes it an even more memorable and fun experience for you and your guests. If you'd like, I can let some of your guests sing with my equipment, I can sing with them in a duet to help them along so to speak, or just let them go for it to whatever extent your event calls for it. Like an MC… So that's me in a nutshell.
