Overview

I'm a Vocalinist, which means that I sing as well as play the violin, sometimes simultaneously. My background is classically and jazz trained as both violinist and vocalist, but I can perform any genre. My favourite performances are ballads and love songs. The music I write combines elements from several genres in novel ways. Some of the genres represented are jazz, latin, Afrobeats and African, hip hop, and classical. I am bilingual (Español), and able to sing/learn songs in different languages . I also have a band. If the event is outside a certain radius, travel fees apply.

A Grand Performance for KRST

Maestro the Vocalinist performed for the KRST Unity Center at the 34th Annual Pan-African Film Festival and was truly amazing! He lit up the audience with his dynamic personality and magnificent renderings of popular sounds and rhythms that we all know. He is a tremendous talent and we strongly recommend him for any future occasions!

What to expect

As a Vocalinist, when clients hire me, they're getting a unique musical experience that transcends traditional boundaries. I've coined the term "Vocalinist" to describe my ability to blend the soaring melodies of vocals with the rich tones of violin strings, creating a symphony of sound that captivates the senses.

Audiences can expect to hear vocals that soar like a symphony and violin strings that sing like a human voice. While I occasionally sing and play simultaneously, the true essence of being a Vocalinist lies in the art of making each note and phrase come alive in a way that evokes emotion and ignites the imagination.

With me, event planners can trust that their guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind musical journey that's both enchanting and unforgettable. Whether it's a lively celebration or an intimate gathering, I bring a blend of classical mastery and contemporary flair to every performance, ensuring a truly remarkable experience for all in attendance.

As a note, I typically perform with a live accompanist, enhancing the musical experience and adding depth to the performance. Additionally, for larger events or special requests, there is an option for a full band ensemble to elevate the ambiance and tailor the performance to the client's specific needs.

About

My name is Maestro the Vocalinist. The name that I've selected for myself reflects how I do music. As a person who plays the violin and sings, I enjoy combining both abilities in innovative ways during a song set; similarly, the music perform crosses several genres and the music I write is influenced by those genres in combination.
