My performance will include my original song "Sanity" and popular cover songs on the radio. The duration of my performance will be around 1.30-2 hours.
I can sing a variety of genres, including sing singer-songwriter, pop, jazz, R&B, and musical theatre genres. In addition, I sing to instrumental tracks and sometimes accompany myself on the piano, depending on what song I'm singing.
Bay Area-based singer-songwriter and performer Maddy Michaels brings awareness to current real-life issues through her music and uplifting lyrics. Maddy’s lyrics are about social issues and personal challenges she has faced, which makes her message honest and inspiring.
Maddy is classically trained but sings a variety of genres from R&B to pop and jazz and musical theater. Her musical and songwriting influences include many artists such as Jewel, Leona Lewis, Demi Lovato, and Christina Aguilera.
I will bring my own mic and cable, and mic stand.
Equipment: My performance requires a portable Bluetooth speaker to plug my phone or computer into to play instrumental tracks. I can bring my portable keyboard and stand if I accompany myself on the piano—electrical outlet and extension cord required to plug my portable keyboard into.
Staging: Medium size stage for a mic and keyboard.
