Overview
The "Lucky" in Lucky Doug, came from my rare opportunity to work on Music Row with some of the best songwriters in the world, recording my songs in world class studios, with super talented engineers, producers, and musicians.
I have had my songs recorded by Rita Coolidge, Andrew Gold, and by several Indie artists.I have written and recorded 7 Independent albums and have recorded an album that is produced by and co-written with Songwriter Hall of Fame member Roger Cook.
I am currently freelancing in Nashville.

About
Started writing songs at an early age,formed a rock-n-blues power trio band "Shed Rock" in Bell county Texas during the 1980's. After a dozen years being a fixture on the Central Texas music scene, I was "discovered " at an Austin Songwriter's Group seminar and moved to Nashville in 1996 , I was a staff writer at Cody Music, BMI , for six years,until they closed in 2002. Since then I have been signed and recorded albums for two independent record companies. I have written over 200 songs , an eclectic collection of Retro Country,Southern Rock, and Texas Blues.
I am always looking for a chance to perform my music,and share the rewards of my 17 years in the Musical Disneyland they call Nashville.
