Overview
Michigan-born and Nashville-based singer/songwriter Dylan Holmes has performed all across the country. Bringing a modern feel to classic story-telling country music Dylan's sound is heavily influenced by artists such as Thomas Rhett, Morgan Wallen, and Ed Sheeran. Dylan has written with award winning songwriters including Wyatt Durette (Beautiful Crazy, Luke Combs) and Justin Ebach (Down To One, Luke Bryan). Dylan has also shared a stage with artists including Morgan Wallen, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Keith Urban. After appearing on season 21 of American Idol, Dylan is set to release his debut single Hell Down Here in April 2025.

August 24, 2016The Most Incredibly Talented Young Man I've Ever Met
Dylan is an absolute dream to work with and is such an incredibly talented young man. I asked Dylan to come and play a three hour acoustic set for our rehearsal dinner at a winery in Northern Michigan, and when the night was over, all of our guests could not stop talking about what a beautiful voice Dylan had and how talented he is. I can't tell you how many of our guests asked for his information so that they could have him come play at their next event. Yes... he's just that good. He absolutely set the mood at our rehearsal dinner and the event wouldn't have been nearly as romantic and beautiful if Dylan wasn't there. But it doesn't stop there. I had also asked Dylan to complete a VERY difficult task for me in order to surprise my groom. I asked Dylan to learn a Band of Horses song that was special to my groom and I and surprise him by playing it at our church ceremony when I walked down the aisle. Well, to say the least, my groom was crying his eyes out by the time Dylan was finished and he later told me that the way Dylan played the song and sang was the most beautiful thing he'd ever heard. Dylan couldn't have played that special song or sang it more beautifully or perfectly. He was the consummate professional leading up to the two events, and was extremely easy to work with. I felt like I asked a lot of Dylan, and he breezed through all of the logistics of those two days and communicated effortlessly and executed everything perfectly. I just cannot say enough good things about this young man and his talents, and I literally just found him here on GigSalad and after trying to find someone to play our events, kind of took a flyer and hired him hoping for the best. Well Dylan's best is better than the best... it's downright unmatched and I am just so thankful that I found him and that he was a part of our incredibly special wedding rehearsal and ceremony. I fill like we hit the jackpot when we met Dylan. Hire him for your event and I swear you will feel the same. He's an absolute dream and I have no doubt he's going to make his mark in the music world in a big way.

I'm an event planner and booked Dylan for two of my clients. One was a wedding and the other was a birthday party. Each event Dylan arrived promptly and was very professional. The wedding he performed for the ceremony and the song he sang brought most of the guests to tears. He learned the song my clients requested in a month and sang it perfectly. The birthday party was more laid back, and Dylan was lively and really engaged the crowd like he's been performing for years. I now have him on my top vendor list.

Dylan's shows are very engaging and dynamic. His songs range from fun, upbeat party songs to slow, intimate songs, depending on the atmosphere and the venue. Most of the songs that Dylan performs are country, pop, and classic rock but he can take almost any request.
