October 21, 2024He provided a deeply discounted show, which was very nice. However, I couldn't lengthen it without paying his full price. This 30 minute show was just okay. It was full of dad jokes and seven simple tricks. No one was incredibly impressed and we felt we could have hired a magician for a full hour to do all the same things. While Louie was nice in person, while booking, he said it wasnt worth his time to change his account structure to allow me to pay in person. This inflexibility impacted my entire monthly budget, as we are a small startup company. I was also offended because, I get it you are running a business. But to say directly that your consumer isn't worth it rubbed me the wrong way. My residents and their human experience, is always worth it.
Louie was on time, friendly, and engaged well with the audience.

I'm sorry you were disappointed with the booking process for a DEEPLY discounted show that I accepted after you told me how much your group needed some laughter. They were a great group and from my side, all of your residents had fun.
The reason that I insisted you use Gig Salad to book through, as that's they way you chose to book me and that's how they get paid. I explained that in our chats that after you tried to cut them out and go around them to book me directly. I don't cut out the booking platform's commission from the booking, it's unethical. I'm sorry my ethics stained your view on my show, and honestly if me insisting you book on the Gig Salad platform that you contacted me through was too much work on your end, you simply shouldn't have booked me as there's no way you would have viewed the show as good when your view of me started in a hole because of Gig Salad's booking process.
I totally agree that their system leaves a lot to be desired, but that's the way you chose to book me and that's the world that this whole interaction unfortunately had to happen in.
I wish the best for you and your residents, once again, they were great!
