Amazing show

We recently hired Mr John for our child’s birthday party, and it was an absolute hit! The magician was incredibly engaging, funny, and knew exactly how to keep a group of energetic kids entertained from start to finish. The tricks were impressive—not just for the kids, but even the adults were amazed!

What stood out most was how well the magician interacted with the children. They were invited to participate in the show, which made them feel special and kept everyone involved. The birthday child got to be the “star assistant” for a few tricks, and their face lit up with excitement.

The pacing was perfect, the humor was age-appropriate, and the overall atmosphere was full of laughter and awe. Even after the show ended, the kids couldn’t stop talking about the magic. It was the highlight of the party!

I highly recommend Mr John to anyone looking for a fun, professional, and memorable experience. This was more than just entertainment—it was a magical memory for everyone there.

Loved it!

What a great show! Triple thumbs up. We were a small adult audience celebrating a 70th bday with a medieval dinner theme and John showed up wearing just the right clothes and a jester's hat. I'm still getting texts from people who are wondering how did he did some of the tricks. No one was put on the spot, the commentary was clean (and funny), and we really appreciated his willingness to get into the medieval theme of the evening. We had our own medieval "crier" who announced the various activities and when it was time for John to pound of the door (no doorbells in those times), he did so at precisely the right time - thanks also to those minute-by-minute texts... Super fun and well worth the cost.

A Magical and Memorable Addition to Our Breakfast with Santa

We were so pleased with the magician we hired for our Breakfast with Santa event. He was professional, easy to work with, and truly embraced the spirit of the day. He did a wonderful job adapting his performance to fit our holiday event and customized his routine with a festive holiday flair that delighted both children and adults.

He invited participants up on stage, and they were eager, confident, and successful with the tricks, which made the experience even more special. The room was filled with laughter as both parents and children tried to figure out how he pulled off his magic. That shared sense of wonder was a real highlight for our families.

His performance was the perfect way to end our event, and we are so glad he was a part of it. We would happily recommend him for family and community events and look forward to working with him again.

His kids show is about 40 minutes long, and he always strives to involve as many kids as possible, especially the birthday star, or the guest of honor. If space allows, he has a larger illusion that is perfect for a photo opportunity and he almost always leaves the guest of honor with a gift with some magical meaning.

John’s humor is age appropriate and is hilarious. John’s story telling style of magic for larger events can be used to weave in the theme of your event, making the night more magical than you could imagine.

About

John W. Stevens (That’s where the JW comes from) has lived in the Pacific Northwest his entire life. Because of this he has performed in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah and Montana. He has entertained five kids at a birthday party, and over 300 people at the Eastern Idaho Librarian Annual Convention.

John has been performing magic for over 35 years, and has loved every minute of it.

John’s humor is family friendly, as is his show. Above all, John treats everyone with kindness and respect. He lives by this quote: “If I don’t fool you, I am not doing my job as a magician. If I make you feel foolish, I’m not doing my job as a human.” (Jerry Andrus). John loves to mystify you, and leave you feeling better than you did the hour before you came to his show.

Kid’s parties are specialty of John’s and it shows through his reviews from previous clients, and through the attention to your needs in planning the party. He is there to help and to make your party a success.
