March 4, 2026We loved it...
We had Lou for an afterschool program and he was great! All of the kids and adults in the room were engaged and the kids actually believed that he was Abe Lincoln. We will be reaching out to him again for future performances!

Debra,
THANK YOU for the wonderful review! I (and Abe) were treated like gold by you, the organizers and all the attendees. It was a truly magical day. I hope our paths cross again soon.

October 17, 2023Hats off to Abe!
I wish I had more stars to add for Lou. From the start of his hire, he was so communicative and professional! He came to our event, a surprise 40th birthday party for my husband, ready to mingle with the crowd in the character of Abe Lincoln :) He was so friendly with guests and believable as a presidential figure! Best of all was his performance delivering the "Gettysburg Address", rewritten as a tribute to my husband! Remaining in character the entire time but also managing to deliver warmth and a sense of humor that I would guess are his own traits, he was an absolute pleasure to have at the party. All guests enjoyed his company and were highly entertained by his performance throughout!

August 16, 2022Professional, credible, and fun!
We invited Lou to join us at a work event for history curriculum writers and editors. He gave an engaging speech tailored to our crowd that made the night so memorable. My colleagues remarked how fun he was to chat with and that he really knew his Lincoln facts. I would highly recommend him!

About
Actor, singer and storyteller Lou Del Bianco has been performing for all ages since 1982. According to the New York Times, Lou's dramatic approach to storytelling "puts pow into passivity!" The Parents Choice foundation states that "few performers excel as both storyteller and musician, but Lou Del Bianco is one who does." Lou's 6 recordings have garnered high praise from Billboard Magazine, Parent's Choice, NAPPA, BOOKLIST, CHILD Magazine, Family Fun and a slew of others!
Lou has performed all over the country, from the Tastes of Chicago to the Kravis Center to Carnegie Hall to the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. His music video, "A Little Bit Clumsy", has played on the Learning Channel. He has traveled the Northeast as an artist in residence for 20 years; performed in San Diego at the International Reading Association's annual convention; served as keynote speaker on arts / character education from North Carolina to Massachusetts.
On an educational level, Lou has been an artist-in-residence since 1987 and has worked in many schools alongside teachers to help improve literacy in the classroom. His Kinderart residency (created with his wife, Camille) was honored by New York State as a model program, and his Story Theater residency, Around the World and Make a Good Choice! one man shows have reached thousands of elementary children all over the tri-state area. In 2009, Lou’s Abraham Lincoln program was endorsed by the Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.
Lou’s newest and most exciting venture is a one man about his grandfather, Luigi, who was the chief carver on Mount Rushmore. In 2011, Lou had the distinct privilege of performing “In the Shadow of the Mountain” at Mount Rushmore to enthusiastic crowds. Since then, over 40,000 school children have learned about Luigi Del Bianco and his great contribution to our nation’s greatest memorial sculpture.
