How it works:
The Oracle roams and engages guests to type any question into the typewriter - personal, philosophical, any question. Guests love typing on the beautiful vintage typewriter. Then the Oracle types their answer!

You choose the costume:
1920s Elsie: 1920s flapper dress
1940s The Widow: 1940s black spider dress
1950s The Belle: 1950s cocktail dress
1960s The Digital Secretary: 1960s secretary outfit
1980s The Velvet Angel: Black velvet 1980s cocktail dress
1980s Oracle Dotty: Yellow 1980s polka dot fashion dress
Futuristic The Starbella: Futuristic space suit that lights up
The Oracle Goddess: Purple goddess outfit with an elaborate headpiece
The Queen of Hearts: Red & white queen dress with a dramatic headpiece

Setup: It works best to have a high top cocktail table as the base, and then the Oracle can roam the crowd from there. No music or technical setup is required. It also works to have her in a separate room if preferred.

How it works:
The Oracle appears in costume, colorful lighting and with a vintage typewriter. She takes questions from guests and answers them with a written answer and a performance! Entertaining and delightful.

What is an Oracle? In Ancient Greece, Oracles were where you went to get answers. They were mediums to the deities, bridges to the Gods, female portals to wisdom. Fast forward to the 21st Century and the Oracle entertains the room and turns your event into an experience!

ABOUT JESSICA:
Jessica began answering questions on a typewriter on the street in 2013 and remembered she was an Oracle. After four years of practice, she founded Oracle Acts in 2017 and has been sharing wisdom at parties & events ever since.

Jessica is a founding member of Shen Wei Dance Arts and danced with the company for more than ten years. Performances with the company include the Lincoln Center Festival, Kennedy Center, Sydney Opera House, Walt Disney Concert Hall, La Fenice in Venice, Het Musiztheater in Amsterdam, Hong Kong Grand Theater, Sadler’s Wells and more. Ms. Harris joined Shen Wei in choreographing material for the Opening Ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She has also worked with Marina Abramovic and Anna Deavere Smith.
