About

Liz West is a passionate, creative, and driven country artist originally from New Jersey whose sound is known for being both authentic and bold. Discovering her love for performing at just three years old, Liz grew up immersed in the arts through competitive dance, church choir, music groups, and family performances where she was often creating and starring in holiday plays for relatives. From an early age, she knew she was meant for a life in entertainment.
Formerly performing under the name Lissa Dee, Liz West has developed a unique sound that blends country, pop, rock, and soul. While rooted in country music, her powerhouse vocals and diverse influences allow her artistry to cross genre boundaries. Inspired vocally by artists such as Christina Aguilera, Amy Winehouse, and Etta James, and musically by Carrie Underwood and Chris Stapleton, she delivers a signature style that combines grit, soul, and modern country storytelling.
In high school, Liz began taking voice lessons and soon started performing live with a band, further fueling her passion for music and the stage. She attended Penn State University, where she earned a degree in communications while tailoring her studies toward music business, entertainment law, and film editing, combining creativity with the business knowledge needed to build a lasting career in music.
Marrying into a ranching family has brought Liz back to her South Jersey roots and deepened her connection to the Western lifestyle. That authentic connection shines through in her music and live performances, leading her to perform at rodeos and ranching events across the United States.
Her official debut single, “Empty Bottle,” earned a nomination for “Best Pop Song” at the 2024 San Diego Music Awards. In 2025, she reached another major milestone with a nomination for “Best Country Artist.” Momentum has continued into 2026, with Liz performing at the Key West Songwriters Festival presented by BMI, singing the National Anthem at the Austin Rodeo, and preparing for performances at major summer events including the Maui Rodeo. She also received a 2026 San Diego Music Award nomination for “Best Country Song” for her single “Chasing Whiskey with Whiskey.”
Liz has been actively touring across the United States, performing at large rodeos, festivals, songwriter showcases, and venues in cities including Nashville and Las Vegas. Known for her high energy performances and powerful stage presence, she performs both original music and crowd favorite country covers with her full band.
Currently, Liz is recording new music in Nashville, Tennessee alongside acclaimed musicians including Rob McNelley, Fred Eltringham, Steve Mackey, Tim Galloway, Billy Justineau, Scotty Sanders, and more.
