Overview
I'm Liz, a professionally trained harpist, and I would be honored to provide beautiful harp music for your event. While I'm classically trained, I love playing other styles of music on the harp and often play with cello and/ or violin!
The harp (and strings!) can elevate your event and help create a beautiful, elegant atmosphere.
Please contact me if you're at all interested in my services!
Cheers,
Liz

June 16, 2022Beautiful
Liz played my baby shower and it could not have been more wonderful! She was very communicative before the shower and so lovely. I requested upbeat pop music and she did a great job. My guests were so impressed! Her setup was also very professional and blended in well with my decor. I hope I get a chance to hire her again!

May 20, 2022Classy and competent
Elisabeth did a great job, from beginning to end. She worked with us using a standard process to select the music and verify that the venue would provide the necessary infrastructure. She arrived early, looking elegant, and played beautifully. I can recommend Elisabeth unequivocally.

June 25, 2021Outstanding Harpist!
I hired Elisabeth to play as a string duo during my wedding ceremony in the St. Francis chapel at the Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside, Ca. From the moment I booked her to the time she played her last song, she was absolutely wonderful. Elisabeth was a pleasure to work with leading up to the big day. She wanted to ensure that every desire we had for the musical selections we wanted to be played was executed by her. Days before the wedding I took a shot in the dark and asked Elisabeth to also play during cocktail hour, to which she happily obliged and sent me a list of songs that she thought our guests would enjoy. Elisabeth played her beautiful harp alongside a violinist during my wedding ceremony, and she was amaaaaazing!! She arrived early enough to set up so that my guests could hear her play as they entered the chapel. Every song was played perfectly. My wife and I were very pleased with her professionalism and musical ability. Elisabeth is a must hire!!!

What to expect
Hi and welcome to my gigsalad page!
I'm Liz, a classically trained harpist based in the SoCal region and creating a life for myself making music. I've been playing weddings and events since high school and would be honored to add an elegant ambience to your event.
One of the main components that is crucial to setting the mood for your event is music. Who you choose and trust for your event can help put guests at ease and create the atmosphere you're looking to set.
I am just one person, not a big entertainment company, so I look for clients that want to work with me and are interested in my vibe: elegant, magical, fairytale settings. I customize each event and work one on one with clients or couples (for weddings) to help set the atmosphere they're envisioning. If you love Bridgerton, I would recommend a larger ensemble- cello and/or violin playing popular covers in elegant gowns. For a more of an ethereal, serious feeling, I might recommend solo harp playing classical or Celtic pieces.
While I'm happy to contract different ensembles based on needs, my main offerings are solo harp, harp + string duo (cello or violin), or harp trio (harp, cello, violin) packages. Amplification and consults are included in all my packages and my pricing is customized for each event.
Please reach out to see if I might be the right fit and to create your custom package!
About
California native Elisabeth (Liz) Zosseder is a classically trained music, holding her Bachelor of Music degree in harp performance from the Colburn School Conservatory of Music and two Master of Music degrees in harp performance from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music and University of the Arts Berlin, where she studied with JoAnn Turovsky and Marie Pierre Langlamet.
She has performed professionally with the Berlin Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Los Angeles Opera orchestras, and has appeared onstage with artists such as John Williams, Yo- Yo Ma, Andrea Bocelli, Plácido Domingo, and Gustavo Dudamel, to name a few. She has performed with pop artists Randy Newman and Laufey and TV appearances include Hell's Kitchen and Encanto Live on Disney Plus.
She’s currently freelancing in the SoCal region and loves the diversity in performance this affords her- from playing with various orchestras to chamber performances, recitals, and weddings and events.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Elisabeth enjoys West Coast Swing dancing and cooking vegan dishes and desserts.
Additional booking notes
I’m able to bring my own speaker or connect to house or DJ systems.
Because of the nature of wooden instruments, and the harp in particular, I do require a flat service to play on, shade to protect our instruments from sun damage, and indoor backup plan should it be rain during an outdoor event. Please keep in mind that the harp is a huge, awkward instrument that can only be moved on a dolly, so nearby parking/unloading is necessary, as well as avoiding steps whenever necessary and my instrument maybe not fit through extremely narrow passageways/tight quarters.
