Lisa Evans Jazz Duo

When you hire me for your cafe, farmers' market, retirement community, or private gathering, I arrive about 30 to 45 minutes before start time to set up my compact gear and settle in. I am entirely self-contained, requiring just a small space and a chair. My speaker does not require an electrical outlet.

My performances feature a relaxed, approachable mix of cool covers and mellow originals played on acoustic guitar with vocals. I keep the volume comfortable and conversational, making it ideal for background listening or gentle listening enjoyment where people want to chat, browse, or unwind.

For all bookings, my maximum performance time is two hours total, which includes a mandatory fifteen-minute break right in the middle to keep things fresh. I pride myself on being friendly, punctual, and easygoing, and I look forward to adding a warm, welcoming soundtrack to your event.

Lisa Evans is a solo acoustic singer and guitarist based in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Originally born in Baltimore and raised on the outskirts of Annapolis, Maryland, Lisa grew up listening to her parents' diverse musical collections of 1950s oldies, 1970s soft rock, and traditional country. Her early musical days included singing and playing guitar in South Florida at her church and in a local blues band, while her love for singing was inspired by her mother, who performed as a local singer of standards in the D.C. area in the 1980s. A renewal of sorts came about in the mid- 2000s that was marked by over a decade of Jazz gigs singing American Songbook covers with a variety of ensembles. Today in 2026, performing solo with her acoustic guitar, Lisa brings a warm, easygoing soundtrack to local cafes, farmers' markets, and retirement communities, sharing a relaxed mix of cool covers and well-crafted originals.

Self-contained setup requiring minimal space.
