Lily and Matt are musical duo who perform an eclectic mix of songs accompanied by virtuoso nylon string guitar. Their repertoire ranges from jazz standards to quirky modern pop to European ballads. You might hear Cole Porter, then something by Fiona Apple, followed by a popular French song, all held together by Lily's smooth voice and the pulsating rhythms of Matt's guitar. The sound is perfect for private parties, cocktail hours, restaurants, or corporate functions.

October 5, 2016Matt played classical guitar for our wedding ceremony and Matt and Lily performed during our cocktail hour and we literally could not be more pleased. From the very first planning steps to exploring song choices to showing up on time and prepared to delivering an unbelievable show that became a major part of what made our wedding so magical, Matt and Lily were exemplary. Being that most people are planning a wedding for the first time, it can be very difficult to know how to piece everything together and make sure you come out with the intended results. As a same-sex couple, it was even more difficult because there wasn't a "traditional" path for us to follow. Matt and Lily were true guides in this process. They have the calm, welcoming demeanor to take and execute requests combined with the expertise to know just what to do if all the input you want to have is, "play me a wedding ceremony." We ended up doing a little bit of both. It can take a leap of faith to trust that you're in good hands for such a once-in-a-lifetime event, but Matt and Lily make it easy to do. They even showed up with all of the equipment they needed. We would not hesitate to recommend them. If you're in the market, look no further!

We arrive half hour early to set up with all of our own equipment. We can perform outside if it is not raining and our sound is battery powered so we can be in a park or somewhere without an outlet.
We will perform for the amount of time requested with lots of fun jazzy and popular tunes! We can perform classical guitar pieces and learn a special song of your request if you like.
We are a jazz duo performing throughout NY state at festivals, wineries, weddings and other special events. Matthew is a classically trained guitarist who studied at Eastman School of Music in Rochester. Lily is a singer and has a special love for jazz standards and songs from different cultures. We have songs in French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, and German.
We also run a puppet theater company as our main job, so we are always performing in some capacity for all ages.
