What to expect

Here's how I'd frame both — since you've got two audiences (speaking engagements and Euly Safety Hub clients), here's a version for each:
If an audience came to see you speak
They'd hear a real story, told straight — not a scared-straight lecture, not a redemption arc wrapped in a bow. You'd walk them through the choices that led to prison at a young age, what those years actually cost, and the slow, unglamorous work of rebuilding a life and a career from nothing. No sensationalizing the past, no skipping the hard parts.
What they'd walk away with:

A clear look at how small decisions compound — and how to recognize that moment before it happens to them
An honest account of accountability — what it actually looks like, not the version people say they'll do
Proof that a record doesn't have to be the end of the story — you're 21+ years into a respected EHS career, certifications and all
A message about mental health and surrounding yourself with the right people, delivered by someone who's lived both sides of that lesson

Age-appropriate, respectful, and built to leave students with something to actually think about — not just a story to feel sorry for.

About

Ross Eulenfeld is a safety professional and speaker whose path to that work ran through incarceration and rebuilding. On August 28, 1995, he was arrested for a robbery, spending the following two and a half years in county jail awaiting trial before ultimately serving time — an experience he's described as the start of "the life I never expected." He's since spoken candidly about the disorientation of those early days, the false hope that carried him through the wait for trial, and the long process of accepting responsibility for the choices that led him there.
Since his release, Ross has rebuilt his life around service and expertise. He holds an Associate's Degree in Social & Behavioral Science, along with certifications in Alcohol & Drug Counseling and other non-clinical health/education credentials, and has spent the years since re-entry moving through construction, HVAC, and maintenance work into a specialized safety career. Over 21+ years, he's built up deep Environmental Health & Safety expertise — becoming an OSHA 30-hour certified professional, SQF Practitioner, PCQI, EPA Universal-certified, and a Forklift and CPR instructor — and has held safety leadership roles at Green Thumb Produce and, most recently, a project management/customer success role at Zira, Inc.
Alongside his EHS career, Ross has been building Euly Safety Hub, his own safety training and consulting business, and is developing a memoir (The Life I Never Expected) and speaking platform where he shares his story with students and community groups — framing his incarceration and recovery not as something to sensationalize, but as a message about accountability, mental health, and the possibility of real change. He's also floated a podcast-style format of the same name with his wife Tera as co-host, walking through his story episode by episode.
Let me know if you'd like this shaped differently — e.g., a shorter speaker bio, a LinkedIn "About" version, or something formatted for the school outreach letters.
