Melissa is a captivating storyteller. She perfectly interweaves both heartache and humor as she shares her unimaginable story of growing up in a cult.
Even though few people can relate to being raised in a cult, everyone can relate to the central theme of Melissa’s story: that guilt, fear, and shame kept her stuck in a life that didn’t serve her.
Melissa skillfully connected her story to the listeners’ own stories before showing them what is possible when you do things scared, presenting her own life as proof. The women at our event left feeling inspired with the new belief that if Melissa could overcome 30 years of fear, guilt, and shame to create a life she loves, then they could too.
